For many of us, it’s been over a year of staying cooped up in our homes. But now, with reopening well underway, we can finally start to enjoy dining out with our family and friends again.

Let’s show our support to our local food and beverage community! They’ve suffered the economic hit the most. Not only this, but those who live in San Diego or plan to move there will benefit from knowing what restaurants the local community offers.

For a meal that is worth the wait, try the following amazing restaurants in San Diego:

Gelati & Peccati

Italian cuisine is irresistible comfort food. If you love the Roman-style pizza and gelato combo, head over to Gelati & Peccati. This 800-square foot restaurant is owned by the Buona Forchetta family. Its appearance is reminiscent of the pizza parlors and charming gelato shops one often comes across in Rome.

Gelati & Peccati is dedicated to creating crispy and light pizza crusts. They make sure their dough undergoes fermentation in a span of 72 hours. Sold per slice, you’ll have the exciting option of selecting among 40 kinds of delicious pizzas.  They’re known for their fresh natural toppings, including mozzarella, guanciale, Marzano tomatoes, ricotta cheese, roasted bell peppers and more!

Pair your pizza with any of the 18 delicious gelatos made with the best-quality ingredients. You can sample a few to check whether flavors like hazelnut, Peruvian chocolate, vanilla, cookie crumble, or caramel suit you best.

Gaslamp Breakfast Company

Waking up early has never been more invigorating when you consider breakfast at Gaslamp Breakfast Company. You can fill up with a steaming plate of buttermilk pancakes or their s’mores waffles oozing with chocolate ganache.
